What an extraordinary day it was at Hilton Falls, the weather was threatening but no rain appeared. It was clear that the water was down but it added a different look to the falls and it also allowed Paul and Brian and chance to walk in closer to the falls to get some more interesting shots. We hiked in stopping only briefly to take some photos of the local colour, sadly much of the leaves had fallen. But the falls did not disappoint and the group spent almost 2.5 hours shooting the falls from various vantage points. Of special note from an equipment stand point, Paul had a great new Manfrotto Befree travel tripod which he will blog about and Brian took some awesome video with his highspeed mode which we will post on this site once we get it. I believe the camera he used was a Canon PowerShot SX500is. I also had a chance to test out my Mindshift Gear Rotation 180 backpack which was spectacular. Gillian and Janice win the award for longest drive coming from Innisfil and Collingwood respectively and it was great to see Andre and Login join us as well. Colin Harris was noteably missing blaming his absence on covering a kindergarten class on Friday which left him with a cold. Afterwards we went into Milton and had a great lunch at Symposium where we transferred some photos and arranged for sharing and our next gathering. Shawn, Colin M and Peter B, hope you can make it to the next event. Remember all are welcome, just check this site for the next event.
