Another Great Day

Multicam setup at St. Roch CSS – RochTV studio

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted but life does get busy. It was great to see everyone out again for the GTA ADE event. It was good to see that Colin’s kindergarten coverages did not give him another cold. We did miss Gillian who thought better of coming down into the GTA from Innisfil with the storm warning (she texted photos of the storm during the day). Jan took the risk and made it down before it hit and we prayed for her on the way home – we were happy she made it home after the event. The day was spend setting up a multi-cam shoot not so much for the two camera angles but for the collection of audio via on-camera microphones, wireless lavaliere and shotgun boom microphones. Paul and Andre were our first volunteers in the setup and filming but I believe everyone left with an understanding of what, when and how to use the various microphones and why in different circumstances. The day went longer than expected as almost everyone decided to have a go at being filmed, even Peter B. decided he would give it a go even though he was reluctant at first. We finished the day going to a local all-you-can-eat Indian food restaurant (Curry House) and spend another 2 hours just chatting and sharing ideas. Another incredible day and thank you to all that attended. I will be posting a video in the post showing the various audio from the differing sources when I get a chance to edit. We have decided that our next session is going to be on Saturday January 18th, 2014 where we will put some serious work into our Summer Institute application videos. Keep checking the site for updates.
